Enterprises of the Kurgan region will participate in an unusual project – an all-Russian accelerator for industrial tourism. The project starts with the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI). The Kurgan region passed the selection and became one of the 30 participating regions. The accelerator’s experts will help the region develop its own industrial tourism strategy, which will include regional factories. Guests will be presented brightly and interestingly with industrial products, as well as introduced to the production cycle. It is planned that the developed programs will be included in the offers of leading Russian tour operators and will be presented in foreign markets.
“The products of the enterprises of the Kurgan region have long earned well-deserved recognition in Russia and abroad. In the all-Russian volume, our region produces 100% of light military tracked vehicles, 60% of middle class buses, 25% of bridge metal structures. We produce high-quality, tasty and, what is important, environmentally friendly food products. I often visit enterprises myself. We have something to show not only to specialists, but also to tourists who want to take advantage of the unique opportunity and see with their own eyes how the factories work, learn the features of production. I think it will be interesting not only for children, but also for adults, ”said Deputy Governor for Economic Policy Vladimir Arkhipov.
Today we are ready to take part in the project of PJSC “Kurganmashzavod”, JSC “NPO” Kurganpribor “, Kurgan bus plant, Vargashinsky plant of fire-fighting and special equipment, LLC” Temper “, LLC” Plant of road equipment “Region 45”, LLC “Zauralskie drinks “,” Veles “.
“Industrial tourism will be a good addition to the existing tourist routes. Excursions to enterprises will help to offer guests of the Kurgan region a diversified program for several days. For example, tourists can start exploring the region from the Dalmatov Monastery or the Savin archaeological park, and the next day learn how fire engines, buses, favorite kvass and sausage are made. In order to build routes, interact with tour operators, analyze what our factories can offer, how much it will be in demand, a regional team will be formed to implement the project in the near future. It will include representatives of government bodies, enterprises, tourism business, educational organizations and business communities, ”said Daria Tverdokhlebova, head of the culture department.
The Agency for Strategic Initiatives plans to sum up the results of the project and name the most successful practices in December 2021.
