Compared to the beginning of the year, according to the results of 9 months, the number of unemployed registered in employment centers in the Kurgan region decreased 5 times and today is 5.6 thousand people. The number of registered unemployment in the region equaled the pre-pandemic level. This was told by the head of the main department for labor and employment of the population Igor Ksenofontov.

For 9 months of 2021, with the assistance of the employment service, more than 15 thousand people were employed. Almost 2.2 thousand job seekers took part in public works, which allowed them to receive an additional source of income during the period of job search. About 1000 people started training in new professions.

“To reduce the unemployment rate to the pre-pandemic levels of 2019, a whole range of measures is being implemented in the Kurgan region. In addition to creating new jobs as part of the implementation of investment projects, this is the provision of material support to citizens who have concluded social contracts, subsidies to employers when hiring the unemployed, support for personal subsidiary plots and entrepreneurial initiatives, and others. Due to this, according to the results of the three quarters of 2021, 7,100 people were employed, ”noted Igor Ksenofontov.
