Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin called the opening after reconstruction of the bridge on Mashinostroiteley Avenue in Kurgan one of the largest projects implemented this year in the Urals. This is stated in the post on the results of the implementation of the national project “Safe High-Quality Roads”, which the Deputy Prime Minister posted on his Instagram page.

“In addition, several large-scale projects have been implemented in the Urals this year. Among the largest was the opening after the reconstruction of the overpass in Kurgan, which connects the microdistricts with the city center, ”said Marat Khusnullin.

Let us recall that the overpass along Mashinostroiteley Avenue, built almost 50 years ago and in an emergency condition, was included in the national project “Safe high-quality roads” at the request of the region. More than 1 billion rubles were allocated for one of the most ambitious and technologically complex construction projects in the last few decades in 2019 – 2021. The local enterprise ZAO Kurganstalmost became the general contractor. The bridge connects the city center with the Zaozerny and Ryabkovo microdistricts. Before the reconstruction, about 16 thousand cars and trucks and public transport passed through this overpass every day.

As Governor Vadim Shumkov noted earlier, the repair of bridges in the Kurgan region will continue, and it is planned to adopt a program worth more than 1.5 billion rubles. It is designed for three years. The program plans to include the repair of bridges not only in Kurgan and Shadrinsk, but in other settlements of the region. Next year there are plans to start repairing two bridges in Kurgan – Kirovsky and Nekrasovsky, two overpasses in Shadrinsk.
